LATEST TRAINING UPDATES
WEEK 1 & 2
I’m off to a rough start on the training front!
My schedule in Week 1 consisted of a lot of work which meant I missed out on the gym sessions with Alex and only got one cycle in!
In my defence, I played a tag match in UCD on the Monday, another one on the Tuesday, two in malahide on the Thursday and one in greystones on Friday – so…still got a bit of fitness in!
Week 2 fell on my holiday in Marbs, where I swam my lengths of the pool between glasses of prosecco ( the KOG gods are probably frowning upon me).
Unfortunately my slight excess of tag-playing in week 1 provoked a tear in the groin – so this medicinal approach was the only way I could possibly persevere with some form of training.
If I was to push the boat out on this theory, I would also add that there were multiple weight lifting sessions done whilst carrying rosé and coronas back from the local shop which was over a steep hill.
Maybe not off to a bad start after all…
